Cameron Impact Scholarship
The Cameron Impact Scholarship is a fully funded four-year impact-based scholarship awarded annually to 10-15 outstanding high school students who have demonstrated outstanding achievement in leadership, community service, extracurricular activities and academics. Interested applicants must have shown dedication to directly impact communities and the world at large.
Cameron impact scholars are forces of change in their communities and plan to align their education and career towards this goal. The Cameron Impact Scholarship covers all tuition, fees and books at any accredited US college or university the recipient chooses to attend.
Founded in 2017, The Cameron Impact Scholarship Program is a merit based scholarship which does not discriminate or target a specific set of applicants, all US citizens who meet the GPA criteria regardless of race, socioeconomic status, religion, sexual orientation, or other background factors covered by law are eligible to be accepted into the scholarship program. Interested students who apply to the Cameron Impact scholarship are allowed two different application windows.
The award for the Cameron impact scholarship ranges from $20,000 to $50,000 and covers all the educational requirements of her four-year program, including books and tuition. Cameron impact scholars will be selected after a final interview with all shortlisted candidates.

Eligibility / Selection Process for Cameron Impact Scholarship
Cameron impact scholars are provided with the tools to make a positive impact in their professional careers. The Cameron Impact Scholar has both the ability and the intent to make real, tangible contributions in their lifelong dedication to the greater good.
The Cameron Impact Foundation will allocate approximately 25%, or a quarter of the scholarships to individuals pursuing careers in education, nonprofits, government, and/or military and have a stated professional goal of public service.
Eligibility for the Cameron Impact Scholarship is based on the following criteria:
- The applicant must maintain a minimum cumulative GPA of a 3.7 on a 4.0 scale or equivalent in their high school studies
- The applicant must Be a full citizen of the United States of America.
- The applicant must be in the high school graduating Class of 2023.
- planning to enroll in a full-time course of study towards a degree at an accredited four-year U.S. college or university for the full academic year following high school graduation.
- The applicant must show proven excellence in extracurricular activities, be motivated leaders with a strong work ethic, and demonstrate active participation in community service.
- The applicant must submit the following three components by the Application Deadline:
- Online Application
- Two required Letters of Recommendation
- Transcript certifying academic performance.
Applicants are strongly encouraged to submit their applications well in advance of the application deadline. The Cameron Impact Scholarship Foundation accepts no responsibility for technical issues that may arise in applicants’ submission by the final deadline.
Applications are accepted and reviewed on an ongoing basis. The Cameron impact scholarship has stated that it will limit the number of applications to be reviewed from the 2023 class to 3,000.
A selection committee will select 75-100 finalists for in-person interviews in the fall of 2022 (usually at the applicant’s high school). Cameron Impact scholarship recipients will be announced in December 2022. Recipients of Cameron Impact Scholarships are required to attend the annual Cameron Impact Scholarship Awards Ceremony and Summit during the four-year term of the scholarship.
Recommendations and transcripts can be uploaded directly to the application if requested or emailed directly to the Foundation. Applicants are required to submit only two letters of recommendation. It is important to note that incomplete applications will not be reviewed or rated.
Applicants must not have an existing relationship with any member of the staff, board of directors, or selection committee of the Brian Cameron Education Foundation. How to Win a Cameron Impact Scholarship
- Early Application
To stand a better chance of winning a Cameron Impact scholarship, the applicant must apply early and not wait till the deadline. The Foundation accepts up to 3,000 applications so it may be risky to wait for the deadline. Also, applying early may increase your chances of attracting the attention of the selection committee.
- Prepare well for the Interview
Applicants should endeavor to take interviewing courses to develop your skills. Assessment criteria require good academic performance along with extracurricular participation, community service and leadership qualities. Emphasize these aspects during the interview and start planning and working now.
First, you need to make sure your grades are above the required standards to increase your chances of being shortlisted. If you’ve never participated in a community service or extracurricular activity, join now to increase your chances.
How Cameron Impact Scholarships Are Reviewed
It is purely performance based and as a performance-based scholarship, the best students are given the opportunity to earn their desired degree.
- Applicants are judged on their academic performance and must have a minimum 3.0 GPA. The most important evaluation criteria are student leadership, involvement in extracurricular activities, and involvement in the community. Special consideration will be given to applicants pursuing careers in the government, military, nonprofit, education, or public service.
- Applications are open twice a year, so applicants have time to get all their documents for application in order, time to prepare and engage in important activities that boost their application chances. Prospective applicants should be involved in leadership training and community service and try to make an impact in their community to stand a better chance of being selected.
- Shortlisted candidates are required to undergo an interview in order to best present their case and develop future interview-related skills.
The founder of the Cameron Impact scholarship, Bryan Cameron himself has benefited from the people and institutions that invested in his education. He founded the scholarship to help others in the same way.
The Bryan Cameron Education Foundation also hosts the cameron impact scholar community to several events to keep in touch with alumni so new grantees can benefit from the experience.
