Morehead Cain Scholarship Requirements:

The Morehead Cain scholarship is looking for exceptional students in academics, leadership traits, discipline, sportsmanship, perseverance and a passion for learning and growth, who will be able to make an impact in the community and the world at large. 

Morehead Cain is a national merit scholarship that offers equal opportunities to eligible applicants. As a policy the Morehead Cain scholarship does not descriminate against race, color, ancestry, gender, sexual orientation, age, disability, marital status, political affiliation and any other factor protected under law.

 Morehead cain scholarship requirements include;

1. Prospective scholars must be on track to graduate high school in the spring
2.  Prospective scholars must be on track with applying to the University of North Carolina at Chapel hill.
3. Prospective scholars should either be picked by their high school or an affiliate program or apply for the Morehead Cain scholarship directly.
4. Morehead Cain scholarship awards are based on the students’ accomplishments and potential in its core values namely; academic excellence, leadership, character and physical vigor.

Prospective Morehead Cain scholars should also take note of the following:

1. Applicants to the Morehead Cain scholarship are allowed to apply early decision(ED) to other colleges and universities which they are interested in. However, morehead cain requires applicants to inform them as soon as possible if they are accepted to another college or university through early decision and if they are not, they should also inform the morehead cain scholarship if they are still interested in the scholarship.

1. Interested applicants into the morehead cain scholarship should note that admission into the university of north carolina at chapel hill is a different and therefore separate process from the morehead cain scholarship. As such all requirements for admission such as form and correspondence should be sent directly to the office of undergraduate admissions.
